What are the standards for ceramic tile construction techniques?

Release time:2024-10-28click:0

Tile construction technology has never been an easy task, so this will test the skill of the decorator. So, What are the standards for ceramic tile construction technology? Knowing these common sense can effectively prevent the decorator from cutting corners! Let’s find out together!

Zhong Taojun sorted it out and mainly included these three parts: grassroots inspection and processing - material inspection - tiling process. Next, let’s look at the detailed steps!

1. Grassroots inspection and processing

1. Multiple investigations

Check whether the wall's flatness, verticality and yin and yang angles are flat and vertical: if the verticality of the wall differs by more than 2cm and the yin and yang angles are not 90 degrees, cement mortar must be used to repair it to make it meet the requirements; cement The mortar is mixed in a ratio of 1:3, and the thickness of the plastering on the wall is 1.5-2.5cm, and the tiles are leveled at the joints. The surface of the wall should be smooth and clean, with smooth joints and straight angles, firm bonding, and no defects such as dust explosion, delamination, cracks, hollowing, powder loss, etc. The surface flatness should be <3MM, the verticality should be <3MM, and the external angle should be Verticality. Founder degree﹤3MM.

2. Check whether there is any hollowing on the wall

Before attaching wall tiles, check whether there is any hollowing on the original wall. If there is any above phenomenon, first deal with the base layer of the wall and then install wall and floor tiles. It turns out that if there is a hollow phenomenon in the wall, the wall must be removed to the bottom.

3. Clean up the debris on the base layer

Clean up the debris on the concrete base, use a chisel to remove the mortar dust, and use a wire brush to clean the grout layer. If there is oil stain on the base layer, it should be brushed with 10% caustic soda water, and the alkali solution on it should be washed away in time with clean water. If there is paint or latex paint on the wall, it must be eradicated and chiseled. The roughened ground should be evenly chiseled (roughed surface is greater than 70%) and cleaned, and the base surface should be moistened 10 hours in advance.

2. Material inspection

1. Cement

Portland cement, ordinary Portland cement; its label is 325, and it is strictly prohibited to mix cements of different types and labels.

2. Proportion of cement and sand

When entering the site, first use cement and yellow sand to make a test pressure plate to check the cement grade (325#) and cement quality. The proportion of paint is 1:3 and the proportion of bricks is 1:2:5. Sand: medium sand or coarseSand is passed through a sieve with an aperture of 8 mm, and its mud content should not be greater than 3%.

3. Ceramic tile acceptance

When the wall tiles enter the site, the owner and project manager must be notified to inspect and accept the wall and floor tiles. The quality, brand, and color difference of the wall and floor tiles must be inspected. The owner must sign for acceptance before construction can begin.

3. Basic process flow of wall tiles

1. Dip bricks

Before laying glazed tiles and exterior wall tiles, first clean the brick surface and soak it in clean water for more than 2 hours. As long as the brick body does not bubble, take it out and wait for the surface to dry or wipe clean before use.

2. Arranging bricks and laying out wire positioning

When constructing the wall, you should first calculate the horizontal and vertical quantities required for each wall, determine the 45-degree yin and yang angle tiling treatment and the tiling plan for the door and window parts, and be sure to be beautiful and economical. Determine the waistline and tile position (or arrangement order) in advance. Before laying the tiles, the laying out positioning and setting of the vertical, square, specification, and brick arrangement should be carried out;

Arrange the bricks horizontally and vertically according to the large sample drawing and wall dimensions to ensure uniform gaps between the bricks. Comply with design drawing requirements;

(Note: Large walls must be lined with full bricks, and horizontal and vertical arrangements on the same wall must not have more than one row of non-full bricks. Rows of non-full bricks should be arranged in secondary locations, such as the wall between windows or Inner corners, etc. But also pay attention to consistency and symmetry. If there are protruding fasteners, the whole bricks should be cut and matched, and non-whole bricks should be pieced together randomly.)

Non-integral bricks should be placed in secondary parts or inner corners. Each wall should not have two rows of non-full bricks, and the width of the non-full bricks should not be less than 1/3 of the full bricks

Tile construction process standards The steps may seem simple but they test your craftsmanship, so when you are supervising, you can check to see if the steps of the decorator are like this. Once you know these, you can do it To effective supervision, okay, the above is what I will share today, Zhongtao Jun is gone!
