"Double Helix Tower" is a project of OCT Vanke Century Waterfront Island Fuyun, also known as Bird Island Fuyun Tower. Because the shape of the building is a double helix, it is collectively known as the "Double Helix Tower".
This project is located next to Xianghu Wetland Park, a representative local natural landscape in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. The total construction area is about 5844.8m2. The overall design is also inspired by the high quality of Xianghu Wetland Park. of natural site substrate and natural qualities. The integration of the "double spiral tower" adds a modern touch to the entire Xianghu Wetland Park section, and also drives local traffic and improves the comfort index of people's lives.
In fact, the design concept of Niaoyu Fuyun Architecture not only regards the wetland as the surrounding "scenery", but also hopes to truly introduce its natural characteristics into the project to create a spatial experience where architecture and landscape blend. The entire design contains three natural elements-water, oceanThe ground and sky correspond to the three functional areas of the front square, commercial facilities and observation tower respectively.

The concept of all things water creates an interesting space experience▼
The landscape design of the front square integrates the ancient water culture of Nanchang and the natural landscape resources of Xiang Lake. It is built for water and named after the elephant, constructing "all things of water".
It is also based on Ma Yuan’s twelve water paintings to construct the twelve expressions of water. Each landscape node carries the functional needs of people of different ages, bringing an unforgettable and interesting space experience.

Because the main body of the building is a continuation of the landscape elements in the three-dimensional space through the language of continuous curves and waves. The landscape experience of the front square is extended to the three-dimensional space of the building through a slowly unfolding outdoor theater. At both ends of the building volume, citizens can go up the stairs to the rooftop gardens created for citizens. Under the roof space are scattered retail and commercial functions, which are linked with the rich outdoor activity space in the front square through external placement and other methods, bringing vitality to the community around the project.

Focusing on the top floor - the observation floor, this is an observation tower representing Nanchang's future life blueprint and the city's new spirit. We know that Nanchang has a long history of "building towers", such as Tengwang Pavilion, one of the three famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River, and the Shengjin Pagoda that has gone through thousands of years. Sitting for a while on the viewing floor of the double spiral tower, you can overlook the wetland. The Wanshou Pagoda in the park also allows you to enjoy the experience of being in a fairyland in the clouds. Because the design of the Bird Island Floating Cloud Pagoda responds to this local culture, it has become a new landmark representing Nanchang's modern life.
